INTERNATIONAL FINANCE CORPORATION (IFC)/ WORLD BANK GROUP – WASHINGTON, USA

Development of a compendium of case studies on 15 selected healthcare Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects across Nigeria, using the 4 criteria of healthcare excellence – Access, Equity, Efficiency and Replicability. This consulting exercise was done as part of the IFC’s Health in Africa (HIA) initiative.

 

GERMAN FEDERAL MINISTRY OF ECONOMIC AFFAIRS – BERLIN, GERMANY

Advised 12 German Healthcare companies on market entry into Nigeria, under the Federal government of Germany’s Export Support Program.

 

AVON MEDICAL PRACTICE LIMITED – LAGOS, NIGERIA

Facilitation of Executive Management Retreat and development  of 5 year Strategic Management Plan, for a hospital group subsidiary of Heirs Holdings Ltd.

 

THE WORLD BANK/SOCIETY FOR QUALITY IN HEALTHCARE IN NIGERIA

Business planning and market research towards the establishment of Nigeria’s first healthcare quality institute.

 

SHELL PETROLEUM/RIVERS STATE MINISTRY OF HEALTH

Developing and rolling out a 5,000 enrollee base community health insurance scheme in Port Harcourt Nigeria under a Public Private Partnership model between Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) and the Rivers State Ministry of Health. This project also included a comprehensive infrastructural and clinical quality upgrade of a government hospital designated as the primary provider for the community health insurance scheme, as well as capacity building and training for the hospital personnel.

 

UK DEPARTMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT (UK DFID) – LONDON, ENGLAND

Execution of a consulting assignment for the Department for International Development (DFID) of the British Government, this involved development of business plan, market analysis and project management for the roll out a chain of socially inclusive diagnostic clinics in Lagos, Abuja and Onitsha targeted at the poor populations of these cities.

Engaged as financial adviser and sole arranger of 1 million USD capital for the acquisition of Mt. Sinai Group of Hospitals in Lagos, Nigeria.

 

FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTRY OF THE GOVERNEMNT OF THE NETHERLANDS – THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS

Commissioned as consultants to conduct comprehensive market research on the Nigerian healthcare sector as well as advise on market entry strategy into Nigeria for a group of 30 Dutch companies.

Project Management and Technical Advisory services for Partnership to Transform Health Systems (PATHS 2) Pro –Poor Health Insurance (PPHI) project in Lagos. This is collaboration between Infinity Microfinance Bank and Healthcare International HMO involving the provision of low-cost health insurance to the poor population of Lagos State, and operated by ABT associates USA. This project also involves providing health financing training and capacity building for the staff and clients of Infinity Microfinance Bank.

 

NATIONAL AGENCY FOR THE CONTROL OF AIDS (NACA) – ABUJA, NIGERIA

System audit of a Global Fund Sub recipient organisation as part of a consulting project for the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA). The parameters of this audit included program monitoring and evaluation, risk management, clinical quality and financial control.

 

PARAGAON MEDICAL AND IMAGING CENTRE – PORT HARCOURT, NIGERIA

Development and execution of a successful turnaround plan for Paragon Medical and Imaging Centre, a 2million USD healthcare facility in Port Harcourt Nigeria, which was in financial distress at the time.
